EU publishes new ruleset for biomass co-processing
Early June 2023 the European Commission adopted the delegated act that describes the new ruleset how to determine the bio-component in the final product of a refinery, when bio-based oil is co-processed with fossil fuel in that refinery.

On May 19th, India's first commercial passenger flight using indigenously produced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) took to the skies. AirAsia India flight i5-767 flew from Pune to New Delhi, using a blend of indigenously produced SAF.

Government advice to ramp-up renewable fuels by 2030
Reaction to the report "Scherpe doelen, scherpe keuzes", which the Dutch government recently sent to parliament. According to the Platform, the ambitions formulated in this report make it inevitable that renewable fuels will play a larger role in achieving Dutch climate goals.
