Job Barnhoorn (van platformlid Renewable Energy Group en co-voorzitter van de Nederlandse Biodiesel uit Afval Alliantie (NBAA)) pleit in een artikel van Transport & Logistiek voor hogere doelen voor hernieuwbare brandstoffen. Hij vindt dat "Verduurzaming een onmiddellijke uitdaging is en we niet kunnen wachten tot emissievrije technologieën een schaalbare impact hebben.”
