Meeting
Financing further development of advanced biofuel production in the Netherlands
Backgound
This roundtable discussion follows several questions raised by the public-private task force on the future of advanced biofuels and feedstock production in the Netherlands: how can the Dutch government support the further development of advanced biofuels in the Netherlands, Europe, or overseas?
The Platform has invited two international experts, Kyriakos Maniatis and Jim Spaeth, to share their assessment of the Netherlands as a production location for advanced biofuels. We will also consider the counterfactual: if the Netherlands or Europe does not develop a new renewable fuel and chemical industry, what is the bargaining power for procurement in an international market? Finally, we will discuss who the investors are in the new development and how the Netherlands, as part of Europe, can support these investments.
