European Union - Renewable Energy Directive 2021-2030

End of 2018 the Renewable Energy Directive for the period 2021-2030 was published at the EU's Official Journal.
By 2030, at least 32% share of renewable energy in the final energy consumption should be achieved, as well as at least 14% of renewable energy used in the transport sector, with a sub-target of at least 3,5% for advanced biofuels. (see articles 25 and 27)
For biomass specific sustainability criteria are mentioned in articles 26 and 29.
