European Economic and Social Committee: Opinion - A European Liquid Fuels Strategy | 2025

Summary

The opinion piece from European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) calls for a comprehensive European strategy for sustainable liquid fuels. Recommendations include improving efficiencies of supply chains and otpmising supply chains with industry hubs, integration of regulatory components, promoting R&D and reducing production costs and driving public acceptance. Together, the realisation of these recommendation can contribute towards helping diversity energy source, enhancing energy security and accelerating the energy transition.
