UK researchers find ways to turn invasive seaweed into biofuel and fertilizer

22-05-2020 | UK researchers have developed a cheap and simple way of creating biofuel and fertiliser from seaweed, whilst removing plastic from the oceans and cleaning up tourist beaches in the Caribbean and Central America. Read the article here.
In the Netherlands TNO also executes RD&D in its Seaweed Lab to convert seaweed into valuable products as alternatives to replace fossil feedstocks. More information is found here.
